How long can you keep a secret? Whether the secret is bonded with a pinky promise or confided between friends, it is often grounded in trust. But perhaps the secret has never meant to be a secret at all. Indeed, these can be some of the best kept secrets in town.One-hundred and forty years. That is how long our organization has been serving seniors in the Toledo area. We began in 1871, shortly after the Civil War. Although some are just discovering us, we remain a trusted care organization to those we have and continue to serve today. We are Sunset Retirement Communities.As we have reached our 140th birthday this year, we continue to grow. Beyond our full continuum of care offered at two campuses (Toledo and Sylvania), we have opened our doors to outpatient therapy, and also offer hospice through Ashanti Hospice and Palliative Care. As a community, we commit ourselves to excellence in care, care inspired by those we serve. We are experienced. We are not-for-profit. We are 140 years in the making.
